Vegetarian Dining at Atlantis – The Palm Dubai

Vegetarian Dining at Atlantis – The Palm Dubai

I am a huge foodie and love to visit new restaurants and try out new places and dishes. I prefer big portions over small ones and vegetarian choices over everything else. When I stayed at Atlantis – The Palm (hotel review here) recently for two nights I actually tried out four different restaurants within 48 hours. Here is more about my thoughts about vegetarian dining options at Atlantis in Dubai.

Nasimi Beach Restaurant

I had lunch at Nasimi Beach Restaurant, a restaurant on the beach with inside seating options as well. I liked the clean, simple, and bright interior with splashes of color. It reminded me more of a Greek island than of Dubai. At night, it turns into a club and during the summer the beachside dining it is closed. It was also too hot even when I visited so we sat inside. The menu is manageable, but I found several vegetarian choices which were all great. The mashed potatoes were probably my favorite (just love creamy mashed potatoes). The dessert was perfect, too. Despite the heat, I went for something heavy and it turned out to be a great choice.

Bread Street Kitchen & Bar

I visited Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in the early evening. It is one of the restaurants by Gordon Ramsay, a famous British chef who has several restaurants throughout the world. I got some bread before my appetizers arrived, the bread was so tasty that I was already full by the time my main course got to the table. The starter was a healthy salad with some superfoods with a great dressing. The vegetarian Wellington was really good, as were the vegetables on the side.

After a few bites, I was already stuffed and I was happy when the waiter recommended a light dessert which was very interesting and delicious. Pineapple carpaccio marinated in passion fruit and with a scoop of strawberry ice-cream. It was probably one of the lightest desserts I have ever had because I normally always go with cake or chocolate.

Vegetarian Dining at Atlantis – The Palm Dubai Ronda Locatelli

The second day I had lunch at Ronda Locatelli, a beautiful Italian restaurant. The starter was amazing. I am not sure if it was the heat outside or if the salads seriously just taste that great, but I really enjoyed this one with its delicious dressing. I had a strong craving for pasta with vegetables and so I asked the staff if I could have a special dish. I asked for some extra ingredients while leaving out few others. It was not a big issue and I got some great Italian pasta. The dessert was not only eye candy, but truly delicious (chocolate with hot berries).

Vegetarian Dining at Atlantis – The Palm Ayamna Restaurant

The last night, I visited the Lebanese Ayamna restaurant, which opened just a few months back. Entering the restaurant already was pretty stunning because of the gorgeous staircase. I definitely fell in love with the interior, which was different from the usual Arabian design. The food was gorgeous as well. We had a lot of little starters – first the cold ones and then the warm ones, like Falafel.

There was also live Arabian music and so it was really an Arabian night. The music was beautiful but actually very loud. This made a conversation impossible so we had our dessert outside. If the weather allows you to sit outside, I can definitely recommend it as the atmosphere outside was gorgeous. If you believe it or not the date pudding for dessert (with some caramel and ice-cream) was amazing. I ordered it because of a recommendation but I was a bit skeptical. However, it was truly delicious and that is something that you should definitely try it.

Which one is the Best Choice for Vegetarian Food?

Which one is the best restaurant for vegetarians? Well, that is a tough one because they all offer great food and a variety of enough vegetarian options. It most likely depends on which cuisine you are in the mood for. I could definitely recommend all for of those restaurants for vegetarians.

I liked the atmosphere at Ayamna the most (probably also because I had a great company as well) and I had many different things I tried.

Though I did not check the menu specifically for vegan dishes, I did not see many dishes. However, I am sure that by leaving out some ingredients (like cheese on a salad) you´ll be able to find some vegan dishes at Atlantis – The Palm.

Disclaimer: I was invited by Atlantis – The Palm Dubai but, as always, the opinions are my own.
