Hotel Review: JA Ocean View Hotel Dubai
Disclaimer: I was a guest at JA Ocean View Hotel Dubai, but as always, all opinions are mine.
I had the chance to stay at JA Ocen View Hotel Dubai for one night when I visited Dubai in March this year and I am happy to write a review of this fun and stylish hotel.
JA Ocean View Hotel is located in JBR (The Walk – Jumeirah Beach), which is in one of the most popular districts of Dubai. It is close to the Jumeirah beach and the many new stores, cafes, and restaurants and it is also near Dubai Marina.
Personally, this area has grown on me over the time and I think, it is one of the best places to see in Dubai.
The hotel offers free shuttle buses, which bring you to the main shopping malls and the tram is also nearby. So, unsurprisingly, this hotel has an ideal location for those who like to relax but still do not want to be away too far from the hustle and bustle of Dubai and enjoy Dubai´s vibrant lifestyle.
Lobby and Check-In
JA Ocean View Hotel surprised me even before I entered the hotel. Colored birds, painted on some pillars, welcome you and put a smile on your face before you even enter the bright, friendly and spacious lobby.
The Check-In was done in a very friendly and uncomplicated way and after checking in, the concierge brought my luggage to my room and I had the chance to enjoy a beautiful view from my room.
Rooms at JA Ocean View
The hotel has 342 rooms (spread on 25 floors) and suites and my room was like the lobby – very friendly, bright and modern. However, what makes this hotel special is that all rooms have an ocean view and an awesome view of the Arabic Gulf. Yes, the hotel definitely deserves the name Ocean View. 🙂
Nowadays, free fast WiFi is compulsory to me – luckily, I always enjoyed fast Wi-Fi throughout all rooms and floors and never had any problems with it.
Restaurants & Breakfast at JA Ocean View
There are several restaurants and cafes in the hotel. On the upper story, there is a Coral Lounge offering great views of Jumeirah Beach – while enjoying a cafe or some snacks.
One restaurant is Tribeca Kitchen that offers organic food (I am crazy about organic food, though I did not have the chance to dine there which I really am sad about, but I would love to come back to check that out) in a very modern and cozy atmosphere and as the name suggests, in a New York style.
Caffe Via is a 24-hour Italian deli on the ground floor also offering fresh juices (heaven for me) opposite Le Rivage – the main restaurant. An all day dining restaurant that also makes the breakfast. The breakfast offers a great variety and you can start your day with good food.
Pool and Beach at JA Ocean View Resort
Looking from my room, I had a great view of the pool, which offers an ocean view as well.

A pool bar allows you to stay close to the pool all day and take a swim in the pool or just look at the beach while reading a nice book by the pool. 🙂
The open beach is just a few meters away and a perfect place not only for the kids (there is an outdoor playground for the little ones) but for everybody who enjoys beach life. I was there in March and the beach was still pretty empty and I did not have to share it with too many others.
On some days, there was also a little market selling clothes, etc. which makes the place livelier and cute.
Spa and Gym at JA Ocean View Resort
The hotel has a beauty and spa salon, Calm Spa & Salon, and gym and the health club also includes a Jacuzzi, a sauna, and a steam room. What a pity I did not spend more time exploring everything – so much to do and see — and as a spa addict, I would have loved to enjoy a treatment there. I must admit that I also did not use the gym.
JA Ocean View Hotel is a beautiful hotel. The great location, friendly staff, and the more casual atmosphere, while still being classy, makes it a great place to stay. It is also great for families and not only because the beach is just a stone throw away.
