If you have more time, you could consider extending your trip to explore other destinations in France and Germany – e.g. to gorgeous Paris if you have not been there prior. However, 7-10 days should give you a good amount of time to see the highlights of this itinerary and have a memorable trip.

TIP: While public transportation in France/Germany is overall good, it is less great in the Alsace region. Road tripping Alsace might actually make sense, but it is not impossible to get around by bus. Just make sure you to check the timetables in advance and plan accordingly.
