Review: Corniche Hotel Abu Dhabi
Are you are looking for a luxury hotel in Abu Dhabi but don’t want to spend a fortune? The Corniche Hotel Abu Dhabi (formerly known as the Millennium Corniche Hotel Abu Dhabi) might be the perfect luxury accommodation in Abu Dhabi for you. It is a hotel chain with hotels throughout the world, though I have to admit I had not known much about them prior to my stay. I stayed at the Corniche for two nights and am happy to share my thoughts with you.

Location
Corniche Hotel Abu Dhabi is located close to Corniche, the beautiful promenade with access to the public beach. The Central Business District with its many shops is also within walking distance. After staying at a few hotels in Abu Dhabi, I have to say that the location is quite handy as it is close to different popular sightseeing places in Abu Dhabi.
The beach is within walking distance. However, the hotel offers also free shuttle buses to the beach as well as to other main attractions while the bus stop is just 2 minutes away (direct bus connection to the grand Mosque).
Lobby and Check-In
The lobby of the 5* luxury hotel is bright and spacious, while the chandelier and the piano were the most remarkable features (live music in the evening).
The receptionist was very friendly. However, when I called the reception desk twice during my stay, it was not easy to reach them via phone.
Rooms
I had a room with two queen sized beds which was beautiful and clean with a view to the street. When I did some online research, I saw that for a little surcharge you can get a Club room which gives you access to the Club Lounge where you have free snacks and drinks throughout the day. So for a few $ more you can enjoy more luxury, so the Club Lounge of Hotel Corniche might be worth to check out.
As it is common in Dubai, and apparently also in Abu Dhabi, the hotel provides complimentary bottles of water. Though it is just a small thing I appreciate it and this should be common in every country.
Pool / Fitness
The outdoor pool of Corniche Hotel Abu Dhabi offers nice views but is a bit small. It was not busy when I visited so this was not a problem, but it might be when it gets busier. However, since the beach is close by, I doubt it will be that much of an issue. There are also sun loungers and next to the pool is a steam room, a sauna, and some fitness facilities.
Breakfast
The weather was a bit too hot for me so I could not sit outside – unfortunately. The outdoor seating options were beautiful, with great views and a lovely setting. I am sure that having breakfast there would be very enjoyable.
The breakfast itself was good, the choice of warm and cold dishes sufficient and the staff very friendly.
Conclusion
I think, the Corniche Hotel Abu Dhabi offers great value for your money. Accommodation can be pretty expensive in the Emirates. Knowing this, I think, Millennium Corniche Abu Dhabi is a great hotel for relatively little money. If you are looking for a 5* hotel but do not want to spend a lot this might be a great choice and so I can definitely recommend staying at the hotel.
