Review: Hotel Manotel N’vY Geneva
- 1 Review: Hotel Manotel N’vY Geneva
Hotel Manotel N’vY Geneva is probably one of the most colorful, fun and most stylish hotels I have ever been to.
Hotel N’vY Geneva belongs to the Manotel group which has several hotels in Geneva, all very different but this probably the most stylish (though I have not seen the other ones it has become my favorite, haha)
I love New York but when I heard the name I had the association of a little dark and maybe not the friendliest hotel. However, the hotel is bright, friendly and very picturesque. It’s not like that it’s so stylish that you don’t feel comfortable at all, or like you feel they are trying too hard.
There are some quite some interesting New York elements, for example, the tags (done by a prominent New Yorker artist) and the music elements which are there.
The hotel is located in the city center of Geneva, and very close to Lake Geneva. Because this is a side street it’s pretty quiet, but it really just takes a short walk and you are at the hustle and bustle of beautiful Lake Geneva.
There is a tram line close by which brings you to the city center (here I have to mention that you get the Geneva Travel Pass for public transport which allows you to use the public transport for free during your stay).
The lobby is as colorful as the rest of the hotel, with lots of street art (done by a prominent artist from New York) and statues. I loved the choice of seating options to watch people. Also, you´ll find many fancy guitars since the hotel owner is/was a fan of music.
Rooms at Hotel Manotel N’vY Geneva
The hotel has 153 rooms of different categories and some have a lake and mountain view. I was lucky enough to have one room with a view. Though it’s not like a clear frontal view, it’s still nice when you look out of the window and see a little bit of the lake. The room itself is extremely bright and I can’t imagine it could be any more friendly. Special is definitely the lightening ambiance – you can change the color of your room according to your mood.
It is also the glass window, which separates the bathroom from the sleeping room, that makes the room look much bigger. This also allows you to watch TV while you are taking a bath.
You have a coffee machine and I must say I really felt at home. It’s one of the hotels where I could have stayed forever and actually I had stayed there quite a lot just because it was so cozy in the hotel.
I am not into bars etc. and normally go “home“ quite early so I do not notice what is going on after dusk :). But there is a lounge (N’vY Bar Lounge) with music on many days, the Trilby restaurant where also breakfast is served and a cafe. I would say having breakfast here let me start my day very great. The choice was not the biggest but included everything I needed (also paying attention to those who are allergic etc. to certain food), there was nice staff, a cool atmosphere and I loved just the restaurant.
Though I did not check out the fitness area (to be honest I am no into fitness) I really loved this hotel and enjoyed my stay to the fullest.
Everything was great and I would definitely like to come back – I have stayed at 5* that were not as fun and beautiful as this stylish hotel wit great staff. This would be definitely a hotel I would unconditionally recommend to any who would like to visit.
Also, the hotel is very pets-friendly and my dog and many staff members became best friends. The only thing was that parking is quite expensive (45€ a day, so it is probably better to come to Geneva by train etc.)

Disclaimer: I was invited by Manotel Hotel N´vY and most costs were covered, but as always, opinions are my own.
